Next Wednesday will be broadcast the last episode of Dallas HD version (Season 1990-1991). But that same afternoon Dallas starts again from the first episode.

That´s an ideal world: watching "Dallas" in a never-ending loop... :dancer: o_O :spinning: :spinning: :spinning: :spinning:

In Dallas HD version Debra Lynn Beaumont is less red than the original version.

And ... tomorrow JR will meet the Devil and Dallas will start over in an endless loop (although with 3 seasons less).

For those who want to follow Dallas in streaming here is the link:

Yesterday ... Dallas finale in HD version.

I was surprised by the numerous scenes with English audio and Italian subtitles, proving that the two final episodes of this saga were shortened at the time of the original broadcast in Italy.

The longest shows Bobby throwing himself from a balcony after a night of sex, then Kristin setting the price for his sexual services, Adam explaining to JR why Carter McKay works in Las Vegas for Johnny Dancer, and other clarifying discussions.

On a separate note - TLC Germany, owned and operated by Warner Discovery, is showing the old SD prints used in the 80s and 90s but Germany's ARD channel. Make it make sense. The HD version continues to be available for streaming on RTL+.
I'm rewatching Dallas on TLC and was surprised that they're using the US opening credits instead of the German ones (with the German episode title and "In den Hauptrollen"). I'm pleased that TLC is showing the end credits; it made me realize I didn't know the end credits for the miniseries/season 1 yet. It's strange to see Linda Gray's name in the end credits.

They are using the standard German opening titles that have always been used in Germany. They’re exactly as the US ones but “Starring in alphabetical order” is replaced with “In den Hauptrollen” and the episode title is superimposed just before that.

I’m not aware of any other German titles?

Since I don't have Dallas on DVD, I assumed that TLC uses the DVD version. The German episode title is shown in small white font at the bottom of the opening credits in the same spot where the German title usually was in the ARD opening credits, like in this clip:

Hmm that is bizarre! So “In en Hauptrollen” is superimposed but the episode title isn’t and instead is inserted basically like burnt in subtitles/captions?

Honestly. WBD never ceases to amaze. Hey let’s ignore we got perfect HD prints and instead put on decades old, overused and double-converted copies.

Dallas miniseries 1/5 from 1978 ended today, aired right after the 1991 finale.

Great HD resolution and a big difference in drama from the final seasons.

Episodes 1, 4 and 5 are my favorites, they still thrill me and sometimes move me.

All the actors are perfect in their roles, even though they were still unfamiliar with the characters played.

Incredible!

Today I was at home and rewatched the episode of Bobby's death on Warner Italia, expecting the usual three-season gap due to the unavailability of the dubbing in my language.

And instead... surprise!

For the first time ever, the 1985-1986 season episodes are available in HD and in Italian.

I thought was the only one in the world with the episodes dubbed in Italian, but instead Warner Italia searched the world over with this surprising result.

I truly hope they've also found the dubbing of the 1986-1987 and 1987-1988 seasons. Fingers crossed, and... long live Warner Italia!

Yes!
A pleasant surprise.

Episode 1 of the Dream Season is quite boring and useless.
Episodes 2 and 3 are better but still not on par with the previous seasons.

Episode 1 of the dream season may seem boring, especially if you've watched the last episode of the previous season in quick succession, which was particularly adrenaline-filled and exciting. It's well-written and even better acted.

Episodes 2 and 3 are Linda Gray's masterpieces, but each scene is even more intense in terms of acting and information provided, making the viewer truly immersed.

We know, however, that this season starts to falter after about half the episodes. Regardless, these are still qualitatively better episodes than what we'd seen from the 1986-1987 season onward, which was a parody of classic Dallas.

A perfect HD restoration of this Dream Season and excellent Italian audio for sound quality and the pathos of the great voice actors, sadly almost all now deceased.

Omri Katz gave a great performance as John Ross III in the 1985-1986 Dream Season.

The rodeo episode features a prominent character who dominates the scene and doesn't use his face to act.

I guess you know what I mean!

We just arrived in Los Gatos (Colombia) with Matt Cantrell and his emeralds.

Tomorrow in Italy we'll find out whether the 1986-1987 season will air after the Dream Season 1985-1986 or, like last time, the 1988-1989 season on Warner TV Italy.

I'm crossing my fingers hoping to see - in HD version and dubbed in Italian - the season whose visual quality was the worst ever before before the restoration.
