Dallas To Get Remastered In HD

Any scene between JR and Pam is a good thing.

Especially as these two characters represent the core format of the shows success.

Additionally these two actors both grew into their characters and made the show more compelling with their performances.

Dallas was at its best when Pam and JR were at loggerheads with each other. How could you not love the spats between these two? :)

What’s going on with Andrew Stevens’ ‘shoes’? Are they mud guards he’s wearing for his rolls in the Southfork pastures with Lucy?
I was impressed at how 'normal' Lucy looks in height here.. then when checking out Casey's odd boots I noticed it look like she's standing on her tip-toes even beyond the extent of the heels, with Casey giving her a bit of a lift!

Also... I think I prefer Bobby with Tracy Lawton and not April. Hm, April and McKay would have been... something.

Frankly, there weren't enough of them.
I definitely agree with both of these statements but there’s another part of me that feels that the magic in their scenes together was quite often due to the fact that we just didn’t get enough of them. Their lack of interaction at times had a way of making their scenes feel like a huge event when it finally did happen again.

Today I purchased a late Season episode on Apple + to assess the quality of the remastering. It was the Vienna episode from Season 12. I was disappointed. The quality of the mastering varies from scene to scene. The Vienna sections look fine but studio interior shots are still far from crisp. I had to check a few times to make sure the format was in fact badged as HD on Apple +.

It might be worth the money to buy any remastered blu-ray to view seasons one to ten but anything after that isn't worth your while.

I couldn't give a hoot about a blu-ray release now anyway. There's been far too many cockup's from whoever is responsible for the remastering of the opening and closing credits. I've lost interest in buying it on blu-ray. :(

Some of the film elements from that episode are lost so they had to use the lower quality video master for many scenes. You chose the wrong episode to check out.

I really enjoyed the Bobby, Jeff Faraday, baby Christopher story and Bobby turning into a super sleuth with attitude. What a great moment when Bobby was bringing the baby to JR at Southfork and Pam was home from the hospital early. Didn't like the Lisa Alden story very much though.

There definitely should have been more of a relationship between Aunty Sue Ellen and Christopher. Just because she signed an afferdavit didn't mean she should of been detached from him.

Great clip using the original flash backs. Oh Sue Ellen who did your hair for court?
