New video for the weekend! Following the early one about the "Supersoap Nightingales", now it´s time for the themes that remind us diehard fans of our soaps. None of them especially written for the shows. I had to re-edit it for the demands of you-know-who, it was a bit longer. I hope you like it.

Hello everybody! Voilà another video for August, this time a multi-soap one about the craziest characters in Soap Land. Some have been overlooked because of space constraints, and also because they were true villains rather than cuckoos. Notice: No gun is present in any of the clips (not an easy task).

I'm quite surprised that you included Angelica Nero in this video and even more surprised that Claudia Blaisdel Carrington is excluded. Joel Abrigore might have deserved a mention too but it's a good video otherwise.

Thanks. I have a reason for every exclusion. Angelica killed one of her associates with her hatpin. I´d say that´s something a cuckoo woman would do.

Poor old Claudia only was "crazy" after the shooting and until the roof scene. When she came out of the clinic she was already stable (if marrying a gay man is what a stable woman would do). It´s been a sentimental choice, though.

Abrigore came through my mind too, but all the others were much, much better performed. Hamilton was just making money to woo Liz Taylor at that moment. Minimum winks, even.

Yes but she went crazy again by the end of season 6.

In the pilot, hour two, Claudia admits she was dragged off screaming as her daughter watched. Later, Matthew reminds her that she'd experienced hallucinations. (I'd've liked some poignant flashbacks of such, just before she left at the end of Season 6, but just imagine how badly they'd've screwed it up).

Maybe we could learn she'd been flooded with antidepressants over the years, and she'd killed the babies from her first family. So she'd snatched that doll and smashed it on purpose.
