Waking up pain free. This definitely makes me happy when it happens.

Or getting a good night's sleep, and getting relief from an allergy headache in the bargain.

What happenend to Johnny? (who looks like a Twin Peaks character - it's aaaall connected).

Oh, Cuzzin Cougar -- we were always mistaken for each other, back in the day. But he's very litigious.

The fact that I now have a classic 1974 Milton Bradley board game based on that hit 70s NBC medical/action series Emergency!-- I had purchased it a few days ago from EBay, and it came in very quickly (arrived yesterday)...

What’s making me happy today is the Veal Marsala, stuffed shells, orange honey chicken and pesto pasta salad I’ve had so far, not to mention the half French Vanilla & Dutch Chocolate frozen yogurt with chocolate chips and chocolate sprinkles.

Hey, it’s the weekend. What is it really for? It’s about doing bad things we don’t normally do.

What’s making me happy right now is I’m home after a long day and I’m sitting on the couch with no plans of moving anytime soon as I watch today’s sports highlights and old sitcoms.

I've been at my new job about nine months and I still feel that "Imposter Syndrome" feeling occasionally. Today I got a 6% raise (well, it will go into effect next week, but you know what I mean), and a much better performance review than I had expected. So I'm doing pretty darn well even as the "new guy".

What’s making me happy this morning is I slept about 10 hours last night, which is a rarity for me. Needless to say I woke up this morning with a ton of energy.

It's always nice when you get a good night's sleep, and are rested and rarin' to go.

What’s making me happy today is tomorrow is Labor Day here in the U.S. and for once I can stay up late on a Sunday night. Nothing like a three day weekend!

Yes, as I’m told without enough sleep I can be highly irritable and moody, which I don’t argue with. So if I ever seem a little uncharacteristically nasty in one of my posts you’ll know why.

Practically anyone would be without a good night's sleep.

What’s making me happy today is it’s the official start of the American Football season. I notice I’m getting a little excited as we get closer to kickoff!

What's making me happy today was hearing three magic words.

Over the weekend the a/c in my car stopped putting out cold air. I went to a repair shop, who re-filled the freon but said there was a good chance there was a leak that would make the new freon leak out just as the original freon had. Sure enough, the very next day it was back to not working. Repair shop guy drew up an estimate: $2500. :yikey: But he did point out that depending on where the leak was occurring, the dealer might repair it as part of the warranty since the car is less than four years old. I took it to the dealership and they spent two days "exploring". I just got the call from the service advisor who described what would be fixed by Friday and used the three magic words that lit up my day:

"It's Under Warranty"
:yeah:
