Yes, snow tires were a must up there. Otherwise you’d be jet skiing down the mountain on your way to work. But even with the snow tires, driving in it was very tough as I’m sure you can understand.
I can imagine how tough that must've been. I love driving but once the snow and ice arrive it stresses me out.
remember one time when I was 16 and driving home from school and it was pouring snow. I came up to this sharp turn and completely lost control of the car and skidded all the way across the highway. And I’m watching the river getting closer and closer and I just closed my eyes as I hit the guardrail and bounced off and got sent back into the middle of the road. Luckily no other cars were around at that point. That guardrail probably saved my life as without it I would’ve gone right into the river.
Blimey!

that sounds truly terrifying, its no wonder you remember that incident, how scary. I'm so glad you didn't end up in the river my friend.
Nothing that severe has happened to me, but about 10 years a driver behind me was travelling too close and I knew he wouldn't be able to stop in time if I applied my brakes, eventually we came to the end of the icy road and I gently and slowly applied my breaks to warn him I was stopping at the junction ahead and then BANG! he ran into the back of my car

luckily he accepted it was his fault and said he didn't realise the road was so slippy. Since then I've been nervous of drivers behind me in icy conditions.
This surprises me. I would think just watching the weather channel and the local news would be enough to get people ready.
You'd think so, but we once had windy weather and all the trains came to a stand still because of ...
wait for it .....
leaves on the tracks
It was very chaotic to say the least. It’s getting so busy at work already.
Is this because of Christmas orders do you think?
I hope all is well with you and that ur having a nice weekend!!
We are all good thank you. The weekend was good too, dry weather for a change so we managed to get outside for a change , well wrapped up though as its chilly.
We close Thanksgiving day but then Friday it’s back to the grind. I’m working six day weeks but Sundays I’m always off. But after thanksgiving I think my next day off will be Christmas Day.
You must be exhausted by the time Sunday arrives.
