Scoop. For the first time I heard Barbara Bel Geddes speaking with the voice of ... Donna Reed !

Many episodes of the 1979-1980 season broadcast on Warner TV Italy these days, come from new dubbing, not the original Italian one broadcast from 1981 (RAI TV and then Berlusconi's Canale 5) to 1992/1993 (Telemontecarlo TV).

During the first programming in Italy, when Donna Reed arrived to replace Barbara Bel Geddes, her Italian voice also changed. Who knows why.

Now, in the dubbings after 1993, sometimes Barbara Bel Geddes takes on the voice of Reed.

A sensation that makes you shiver, really!

My VHS with the original dubbing should be safeguarded as UNESCO heritage !

In Spain (both Castillian and Catalan), BBG also shared her dubbing voice with Ms. Reed, but (I wonder why...) it sounded so much more mellifluous... When the whole Falcon Crest was dubbed into Catalan, Angela spoke... with Miss Ellie´s Catalan voice too!!

The same happened with ALL Carrington children recastings on "Dynasty" and Vicky´s on "Falcon Crest".

As much as I can see of Dallas being scheduled at prohibitive times for those who still have a working activity, I am discovering that most of the episodes of the 1980-1981 season have been redubbed in Italian.

The HD implementation treatment is very pleasant, although for example the sky is always crystal clear and blue, while the vegetation is always emerald green.

Never a cloud or some plant that is slightly dry due to the Texas summer heat.

Whenever they don´t paint Katherine wicked green...

As usual the great intelligent translator of Google makes me ashamed. It translated 'new dubbing' in ... redubbed.

So nothing red in my sentences, only a blush of shame.

its often said that Lucy didn’t have many important moments in the show after the first couple of years, but we shouldn’t overlook the time when she narrowly prevented Katherine from turning into the Incredible Hulk and smashing a blind Bobby to death on his hospital bed
And Lucy did that in a red party dress by Travilla!

one can only imagine how excited Travilla was to design for the former Miss Young Dallas, only a short time removed from her meteoric rise up the ranks of the cutthroat Texas high-fashion modeling scene!
Poor Charlene was the one who didn´t benefit of Travilla´s designs otherwise. It was the Hot Biscuit era for Lucy and she didn´t even attend the OBB!! Poor poor Lucy!

Was the wedding dress from Lucy's second marriage to Mitch Cooper, during the 1984-1985 season, by Travilla?

Yes. I seem to remember that Charlene asked them to have it, and she did.

Today I managed to watch 1 of 6 episodes before going to work. It was about Lucy's first wedding.

The HD version of this episode has improved the sharpness of the image a lot, although it is particularly evident that the scenes were filmed indoors and not at the real Southfork Ranch.

Particularly evident are the transparencies of certain clothes (!) and unfortunately the poor health of Jim Davis, close to definitive retirement from the scenes.

The HD 1981-1982 season is currently being broadcast in Italy by Warner TV, with Sue Ellen in San Angelo at the Farlow home. Very sharp images and delicate color. Fortunately, the voices of the characters are those of the first legendary dubbing.

Today Mitch Cooper saved Evelyn Michaelson (Patty McCormack) from suffocation.

Her husband first offered Mitch a large bank check and then a specialization within his plastic surgery team.

Do you think this was all out of generosity and gratitude towards Mitch, or did both spouses have a sexual attraction towards Lucy's husband?

Probably the latter. Here Mitch is at his most hypocritical, I wonder if he ever dared to tell Lucy about the check...
